OXIDATION & OVER-SPRAY REMOVAL (ALSO KNOWN AS "CLAYING")

By allowing us to prep the surface properly, our polishes and waxes will perform at a higher level. “Claying” will give you a visual difference and ensures a longer lasting, glossier shine.

De-oxidizing before wax?

No matter what the make and model of your vehicle, all car finishes are exposed to the outside elements. This build-up of road film & contaminates, also known as “paint oxidation”, will begin to dull your vehicles’ paint finish.

The roughness or dullness of your paint finish is the presence of harmful environmental bonded contaminants such as over-spay, fallout, brake dust, tree sap mist and road film that have bonded to your paint finish. Bonded contaminants not only prevent freshly waxed surfaces from reflecting light and shining to its full potential; If not dealt with, it will gradually mask and blur the reflection & repel the adhesion of any car wax application.

To remove these bonded contaminants and return that "smooth-as-glass" finish, this will require an extra step, prior to your wax package, commonly referred to as "claying". Recommended service at a minimum: every 1-2 years.

“Claying” has the same principles as a child using silly putty to remove an image from newspapers. “Claying” will properly remove any containment’s without harming your clear coat.
